After an accident your vehicle needs more than a cosmetic repair. DeFinis Auto Body handles collision repair on damaged panels, bumpers, doors, quarter panels, hoods, trunks and structural areas, including frame straightening, welding and auto glass replacement when the impact goes past the sheet metal. Drivers from Somerton 19116 are a short run down Roosevelt Boulevard to our Torresdale Avenue shop. We inspect the damage, write the estimate, and make sure the vehicle goes back on the road straight, safe and correct.
Auto body repair covers everything short of a full collision job: body panel repair, rust and rot cut out and replaced, door skins, fenders, rockers and quarter panels. Some of it is accident damage and some of it is age. We take both. Minor damage or major structural work, the standard does not change, and the finished panel has to line up with the ones next to it.
Parking lot dings, hail damage, shopping cart hits and creased panels all get repaired here. Small dents come out without repainting when the paint surface is unbroken, which keeps the factory finish on the car and the cost down. Deeper creases and stretched metal get filled, blocked and refinished with the paint matched to the panels around it. Bring it by and we will tell you which one you are looking at.
Modern bumper covers hide sensors, cameras, parking assist and crash structure, so a bumper is rarely just a bumper. We repair cracked and scuffed covers where the plastic is sound, and replace the cover, absorber, brackets and reinforcement bar when it is not. The replacement is painted and blended to the fenders before it goes on the vehicle, not after.
Paint work is where a repair is judged. We match the factory colour code, then adjust for how the existing finish has weathered, and blend into the adjacent panels so the repair does not read as a repaired panel in daylight. Full repaints, spot refinishing, clear coat repair and older vehicle restoration all go through the same booth and the same process.
An accident claim is paperwork, photographs, supplements and phone calls, and most people are doing it for the first time. We deal with every carrier, so we handle the documentation, the damage photographs and the supplement requests when hidden damage turns up after teardown.
Pennsylvania law gives you the choice of shop. If a carrier tells you the vehicle has to go somewhere specific, that is steering, and you are not obligated to go along with it. Call the shop before the vehicle is moved and we will tell you what your options actually are.
If the vehicle is not drivable, towing to our shop costs you nothing, day or night. The tow operator at the scene does not decide where your car ends up and neither does the insurance company. Call the shop at 215-624-9309, or text the emergency towing number at 610-721-4199 outside business hours.
